Yoga classes are only one of several services that the Body Mind Spirit Center offers to help you with your self-discovery and self-realization … or to simply feel better and live a more peaceful and harmonious life. The Center also offers Hypnotherapy, Reflexology and Massage.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a very powerful tool that can take you deep within yourself, releasing you to explore your inner world, make internal changes, contact your higher self and learn more about why you make the choices you make every day.

Hypnosis is commonly referred to as an “altered state of consciousness.” The best way to describe this is that under hypnosis or in this altered state of consciousness, you feel very relaxed and at the same time, you are deeply focused.

Examples of concerns, conditions and issues that hypnosis can be helpful with include:

  • Past life regression
  • Stress management
  • Fears and phobias
  • Childhood traumas
  • Decisions about yourself that limit you
  • Low self-esteem
  • Pain
  • Childbirth
  • Smoking cessation
  • Test anxiety
  • Healing visualization
  • Empowerment
  • Behavior modification

What’s a Hypnotherapy Session Like?

All sessions are private and last from four to five hours on average.

During approximately the first 90 minutes of your session, you’ll talk with Brenda to help both of you better define what you want to explore during your session and to give you a better understanding of the process that will follow. The remainder of the session will be spent in the altered state, followed by a post-session discussion. The sessions may be recorded for you. This way, as you process the experience in the weeks after your session, you can review the life-altering information.

Brenda Steele, a registered nurse, certified clinical hypnotherapist and founder and director of the Body Mind Spirit Center, offers private hypnotherapy sessions.

Sessions cost $200 and scheduled only on Fridays and Saturdays.

Reflexology

It’s a treat for your feet that makes your whole body and spirit feel better, too.

Reflexology is deep-pressure massage of the feet that brings great relaxation overall and specifically makes your feet feel wonderful.

Reflexology can also:

  • Help mend many common foot ailments.
  • Balance all of the systems of the body.

Reflexology is “zone therapy.” Zone Therapy says the body has several zones, each of which has a corresponding reflex point in the feet. For example, your big toe relates to your head, the ball of your foot to your lungs and the toes to the sinuses.

By applying deep massage to the reflex points in the feet, the whole body is massaged. Of course, deep massage can be a little uncomfortable. But after your one-hour session, you will be rewarded with relaxation and extremely happy feet.

Brenda Steele, founder and director of the Body Mind Spirit Center offers reflexology.

A reflexology session lasts one hour. The fee is $55.
A 90-minute session, which includes hand reflexology, is available for $65.

Massage Therapy

Massage is quite simply one of the easiest ways for anyone to reach and maintain good health.
Massage can:

  • Help counteract the stress and pressure of our lives at work and at home.
  • Release the tensions of chronic stiffness and pain that for many of us have become chronic, accepted ways of life and that we don’t even realize consume so much of our energy.
  • Help you on your voyage of self-discovery, revealing how it feels to be truly relaxed and in tune with yourself.
  • Help you experience the joy of being able to breathe, stand and move more freely.

Massage is offered at the Body Mind Spirit Center by Tom Woods and James Boyd.
